DVWGS Social and Garden Visit
Sunday, July 11, 4:00 - 9:00 PM

In belated celebration of the DVWGS triumph at the 2020 Flower Show, Don and Linda Carpenter are hosting a pot-luck social in their beautiful garden to honor all those who made our exhibit such a success -- club members, Swarthmore Garden Club, Linvilla Orchards, and many others. It looks like it will be a warm and mostly dry day.

The event will be held at 506 Glenwood Ave., Media, starting at 4:00 PM and continuing till 9:00 PM so that we can enjoy the Carpenters' pondless water feature and light show after dark. You can also preview the water features being built for Linvilla Orchards using items from 2020 and 2021 PHS Flower Show exhibits.

Bring an appetizer or dessert and your favorite drink. Plates, cups and silverware will be provided.

Park at the Moylan-Rose Valley SEPTA station -- free on Sundays. Cross the rallroad tracks and take the path towards Manchester Avenue. The Carpenter's back gate is on the path and will be signposted. There is also limited disabled parking on Glenwood Avenue. Please plan to wear a mask if you are not fully vaccinated against COVID.

Before coming to the Carpenters', we suggest allowing time to visit Linvilla Orchards which is 2.3 miles away. Check out the beer garden, farm market, garden center, and the new water feature. They have a great inventory of plants and garden items. See the Linvilla web site for details.
