ANNUAL DVWGS KICK-OFF LUNCHEON
Sunday, February 9, 2020 at 12:30 pm.
Springfield Country Club
Our annual kick-off luncheon will again be held at the Springfield Country Club, 400 W Sproul Rd, Springfield, PA 19064. Mark your calendars and plan to attend! This is a perfect time to get together with members to review the past season and prepare for the next one!
Beside the usual great food and fun stuff, we will have a raffle with many donated items along with a 50-50 drawing.
We will also hear an update on progress with the DVWGS exhibit at the 2020 PHS Philadelphia Flower Show. Luncheon attendees who sign up to help with the exhibit will be able to pick up their complimentary tickets to the show.
Our speaker this year is John Volpa, Director of Education at Pinelands Adventures. John has extensive experience as an educator working, exploring and leading canoe trips in the N.J. Pinelands. John facilitated the Pinelands Preservation Alliance’s annual teacher education program for ten summer sessions. In his role as an Evesham Township Environmental Commissioner, he created the Black Run Preserve and is the Chair of the Friends of the Black Run Preserve. He will discuss the importance of the Pinelands, which occupy over 20% of the State of New Jersey, and relationship of ponds and water features to the climate.
Reserve your spot now using our online form below. The luncheon costs $30 per person. You can pay securely via PayPal with a credit card, or, if you prefer, print out the order form and send it by mail with your check.
