ANNUAL DVWGS KICK-OFF LUNCHEON
Sunday, February 10, 2019 at 12:30 pm.
Springfield Country Club

Our annual kick-off luncheon will again be held at the Springfield Country Club, 400 W Sproul Rd, Springfield, PA 19064. Mark your calendars and plan to attend! This is a perfect time to get together with members to review the past season and prepare for the next one!
Beside the usual great food and fun stuff, we will have a raffle with many donated items along with a 50-50 drawing.
Check here for details of how you can donate items for the raffle. This year, the raffle will include 16 beautiful themed gift baskets prepared by Anne Pierce.
We will also hear an update on progress with the DVWGS exhibit at the 2019 PHS Philadelphia Flower Show. Luncheon attendees who sign up to help with the exhibit will be able to pick up their complimentary tickets to the show.
Our speaker this year is Tim Jennings, Senior Horticulturalist at Longwood Gardens. Tim is the Senior Gardener responsible for Longwood's outdoor Waterlily Display, Fern Passage, and Rose House. Tim teaches several popular water gardening courses at Longwood Gardens and can answer almost any question on waterlilies and aquatics! Tim also serves as a lab instructor for various plant identification classes. Those of us who visited Tim's Platter display at Longwood with the club a few years ago know that he is an interesting and fascinating speaker.
Reserve your spot now using our online form below. The luncheon cost $30 per person. You can pay securely via PayPal with a credit card, or, if you prefer, print out the order form and send it by mail with your check.
