Stoneleigh Garden Guided Tour
Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 10:30 AM

Ethan Kaufmann, the Director of Stoneleigh, will lead a private tour for DVWGS members. Stoneleigh is a 42-acre property and the tour will last about 1.5 hours. You’ll see the core areas, which comprise the historic landscapes and main house, including the interior. The garden is very beautiful and contains open vistas, towering trees, native plant displays, some exquisite historic hardscape elements and a recently completed water feature. There is over a mile of porous pave pathway, almost a mile of asphalt roads, and numerous bluestone pathways which are accessible to people of various levels of abilities, including wheelchairs, walkers, and strollers.

Tours of the main house include the first floor as well as a peek at the residence pipe organ. The main house has an accessible entrance, restrooms and an elevator. The second two floors are home to another non-profit, the Organ Historical Society, and are also part of the tour.

Tour participants should plan on driving to the 1829 County Line Rd., Villanova parking lot. We will meet at the Welcome Kiosk.

If you are planning to attend, please let us know by signing up here.

Tour participants are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy in the garden pavilion after the tour.
